By that time the shape of cruiser bike were also developed and had many additional features, including springer fork suspension, motorcycle-style horn tanks, extensive chrome plating, fringed saddlebags even capgun holsters. Many companies such as Roadmaster, Columbia, Shelby, Monark, had joined the hype and released several models of cruiser bike. Unfortunately, the popularity of cruiser bicycle was decreased during the end of 1950's. The coming of lighter sporty and multi-speed gear that made by British and European was the reason of this happening.

In 1995, Schwinn released the new Black Phantom as the celebration of its 100th anniversary. Harley-Davidson even made a cruiser.
